Hi Tom,
Hollow candles = bullish candles = buyers are dominant
Filled candles = bearish candles = sellers are dominant
14 is a standard value for ADX, which majority of traders would use, which ultimately suggests better reflection of market changes.
Although, you can easily experiment, while leaving ADX 14 for reference.

Thank you!
Very thorough system. I have occasionally used another simpler M5 H-A system, but this is clearly better. It should often keep you out of those quiet, small ranging periods. I think trading only with the ADX >20 should really improve results. I'm ready to go with this!
Sam, any later refinements?
Best, Forest
Hi Forest
Refinements afterwards? I'm afraid not. It's that simple!
Improvements are welcome.
Many thanks for your input.
Kindest regards
Sam

Nice system, good for any time frame I think! Ive demo'd it for 60 live trades with excellent results on 5, 15 1 hour and 4 hour time frames each. Any others have results/?
You have not mentioned the use of the EMA lines. It is true there are too many lines. I use pivot points with ADX until i saw your strategy using stochs and other indicators which improve my analysis. Thank you.
