Scalping system #4 (5 pips with GBP/USD)
Submitted by Edward Revy on May 20, 2007 - 07:42.
This simplified trading system derived from the previous “2 SARs to go” system and is a work of our dedicated scalper – Alex Wakemann. Thank you, Alex! His scalping insights will be published and updated on our pages as we move on. With this Forex scalping system Alex claims to always get at least 5 pips per trade.
Trading setup
Trading pair: GBP/USD
Time frame: 5 minute chart
Indicators:

ALEX a Question for you,
Are u still using this strategy ?
What other pairs you tried ?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I use it regularly.
I've also tried AUDUSD, and it was acceptable.
Alex
is there a way to place a sar on the macd with mt4?
I think there was an indicator, although I don't use it.
Like Edward, I use Oanda for trading 2SARs.
Download SAR on MACD for MT4 here:

Hi Isa
Since AUDUSD has U.S. currency, you can trade it 8-13 EST, but I found most active hours to be 13-17pm EST.

Alex,
Just in case someone is still looking for SAR on MACD for MT4 I wrote and article back in December on it. (3rd link in the article)
http://www.greattradingsystems.com/2009/12/macd-indicator-for-ninjatrade...
hope it helps, if not no worries.
Cheers
Jason
Congratulations for this really useful site.
I am really new to FOREX so I would really appreciate some help.
Could you please confirm that I am setting the correct indicators and parameters on my platform?
MACD (5, 8, 9) would mean that the parameters for MACD-Average, Convergence-Divergence indicator are:
- First EMA period = 5
- Second EMA period = 8
- Signal EMA period = 9
SAR (0.1, 0.11) would mean that the parameters for Parabolic SAR are:
- Incremental step = 0.1
- Maximum step = 0.11
Also, on the first page Alex commented about 14 EMA. That would mean that the parameter for Exponential Moving Average is:
- Period = 14
Can you please confirm that I am setting all the correct indicators and parameters?
Thank you for your generosity sharing this strategy.
Haydel
