Scalping system #11 (The Center of Gravity)

Submitted by Ashur

Alright first of all, I just want to say the indicators that i'm going to post and show are not mine so i take no credit for them. The center of gravity indicator was created by Oan. The idea is based on Mostafa Belkhayate's system. Also the sweet spots indicator was taken from "Patrick Bourgeois" with his submission of "Trading by Psychological Levels". So I'm going to upload all the indicators, and all you do is, put them in Metatrader/Experts/Indicators folder. Im also going to upload the template so all you have to do is load the template.

The rules are these:

Hi Guys,

thanks for this great system, though I am wondering what I am doing wrong, my sweet-spot-lines are all very close to each other, by like 3 pips, this doesn´t seem right when I see other screenshots here. What am I doing wrong?

Add daily pivot levels (P, S1, S2, R1, R2) and if sweetspot coincides with a pivot level, double down!!

Also works if in confluence with EMA21 or SMA 200.

If you have a trifecta (pivot, EMA, sweetspot) you are golden.

Been trading this system for almost 2 years with great success.

Good luck all!

Now up 40% in 10 days... Should be 50-60%, however, I closed a few trades early. Just trade this system as is, you will have a loss here and there but they are very few in between. I've placed 25 trades thus far and only 1 loss. Just be aware of Support and Resistance when using this system. Well that's any system ;)

Big thanks to Ashur and Edward. Thank you Edward for having such a great website. I've finally found a system I love and have fun watching it work. I was on the verge of paying $300 a month for a trade room, however, I decided to give this system a shot. Lo and behold... Voila!!!

I love trading this during London open and US sessions. Only thing is that my sleep habits have changed and I get sleepy early on the J O B :( Hopefully in due time I won't have to worry about the J O B :).

Good Day People!

I'm loving this! 30% in 3 days!!! No losers in 10 trades.

I love this system ;) That's all I have to say. Thanks Ashur!

Hi newbie here. I have been playing around with the the COG. I also read many comments in different threads about COG and this appears to be the most recent thread. I would like to know in layman terms what does "Number of Bars" actually do (effect)? I noticed that everybody seems to say that 180 is the standard, but what happens if you change to 144 (fib number) or 233 (fib number)? What does "Order" do (effect)? The same for "Ecart"?? How does the changing the factors mentioned effect when you change time frames? Im trying to understand the basics of what the factors or settings (# Bars, Order, and Ecart) mean. Somebody mentioned in other threads that COG are linear regression lines but curved with polynomials. Thank you.

hi evry body,

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with the new version of Oanfxsystem. The candles form wrong, a bullish candle looks bearish and vice versa. The Oanfx timer develops candles wrongly- bullish candle is bearish, and you need to use the refresh bottom so a new candle appear in the Oanfxtimer. Is this a bug or error or there is any new version for the Oanfx system.

Thanks

im loving this so much :) its sooooooo good...only traded it 2 days hahaha, but still awesome...anyone wanna post their monthly ROI or something? give me smoething to aim for ;) also...1 question, how far does the Middle of the CoG have to be from a sweet spot for the trade to be valid?

(ok 1 more, is there any filter people have found to preempt the trend change?)

Thanks for everything, happy pips,

Jacob

This is a really good system. I've been making consistent profit with it. How you trade it makes a big difference in regards to money management. I always take half off at +10-15 then bring SL to BE and let the rest ride. I used another one of the poster's advice on using Stochs 14,3,3. Depending on trend, Up buy when price below 20 on Stochs (over sold) with price being at Sweet Spot... Vice Versa for Down.... Absolutely a Money maker.

This system appears work well but looks like it might not be so good in trending markets. Has anyone tested it for a long period of time who can vouch for its effectiveness?

This system works well when the market is ranging in the short term within a longer term trend, but not when the market is ranging in the longer term (going sideways). I tried adjusting shortening the Center of Gravity (making it faster) which basically rendered it useless.

The solution? Try adding a 55 period WPR (Williams Percent Range) indicator with 80/20 overbought/oversold levels on a 5 minute EUR/USD chart. Avoid buying above 80. Avoid selling below 20.

Also, a "CCFp" indicator will give you strong long term trend direction for 8 major currencies relative to each other. It's basically a line graphed basket index. Avoid buying when the EUR is getting beaten down by the others and vise versa.
