Scalping system #6-a (Trend Trades)

The popular EMA Bands/Guppy EMA strategy which you all know about has got a happy continuation.
Let me introduce "Trend Trades" by Walter, who has done some great job with moving averages and came up with a system that uses Variable Moving Average (VMA) in its core.

Alex:
I make entries when the price hits or almost hits these lines. I do wait for the candle to close for a cross because it has a tendency to make me wrong.
This friday was over 100 pts of movement between the crosses. i hope you got your share.
Grant
Thanks Grant, but I'm not sure I really understand what you are saying.
Whats that nifty indicator at the bottom you got there?

Alex:
Here is from Aug 10th. I would say that in the ladder case, all I do is wait for price to hit either the dark green 25 line (or in some cases magenta). If it's a cross, then it must close because of the nature of the indicators, sometimes it looks like it will cross but doesn't and then goes against you. Ask me how I know.
For more info from walter, go to traders laboratory and search walterw. He's got a lot of good stuff there.

A fully formed candle followed after the ladder I suppose should be enough.
I wonder about the icon setup ladder effect, when to get in? After fully formed candle and confirmed ladder or immediately the second where the vma flicks up into a ladder?
Thanks
Alex
VMA, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 ans so on adding a step of 2 till VMA 100.
Each set of VMAs: 2-10, 12-20, 22-30 and so on - change to a new color group.
Hope this helps.
Im Ivan from Spain,
i try to setup the rainbow but i just see the grey screen and the vmaADX (black one). i need to know at least the seting of vma(rainbow) to build by myself.
thanks
Hi Dahnto
The indicator and system should be flexible enough to provide you a winning edge on any time frame. Everything will depend on your money management: adjusted profit and stop levels.
Thomas
Can this to be used on 15M and 5M TF ? or this system can only use on 5M and 1M TF only...
Thanks,
Dahnto
Here is actually a VT formula, where you can see the parameters of the MAs:

can anyone tell me what are the value of the moving averages to add them manually to the cms vt trader??
Hi Matt,
It won't be exactly the same for SMA bands, but it won't hurt much :)
What will is that you won't be able to simulate the main component - Fantail VMA - that thick black line from PDF screenshots (yellow on my screeshot above), which advice on trending and ranging markets.
Cheers,
Alex
Hi Alex and Edward,
This is a great system, thankyou. I have a couple of questions though; I was unable to download the platform or the indicator. I am currently using FXCM, can I manually add the indicators to look the same? Also is a Simple Moving Average (SMA) the same as a Variable Moving Average (MVA).
Thanks in advance
Matt
Thank you very much for the excellent work.
People like you do trading the most humble and accessible to all.
We may need more information on this system.
Again thank you thank you.
Hi Astley,
Make sure you've also downloaded FantailVMA3.mq4 indicator into /experts/indicators folder.
Regards,
Edward
