Trading method #1 (9 EMA Entries)

Think about entries.
When your trading strategy says: enter on the cross of Stochastic lines, on the cross of MACD lines, when RSI comes from oversold/bought zone, when two moving averages cross, when divergence occur etc etc. When exactly do you enter?

Usually you would just visually double check that there is a signal from your indicator and then enter on the close of a signal bar.

How about EMA(9) as a main Indicators, for confirmation: Parabolic SAR (0.004/0.2) & Stochastic (14,5,5), Used it in m15 (15 Minutes) Timeframe?

Don't forget try to look the main Trend at 60 Minutes Charts (H1)

Hello Edward,
I have only recently found your excellent site and gresatly appreciate what you are doing.
I find your Trading method 1 (9 EMA) interesting in its simplicity but I am having a problem with the MACD Indicator on my MT4 platform as it only seems to provide a single averaging line, rather than the two lines on your chart, which rather defeats the object of the exercise!

Whatever settings feel right to you. I'm sure the results with 9, 10 or 11 EMA won't differ much.

Hi,

I just mentioned the indicators to illustrate the point about improved trading when using 9 EMA. Based on this knowledge you can choose to trade with any indicator you prefer to, not necessarily with Stochastic and/or MACD.

Every trading platform has Moving Averages indicator. You have to select it and then set parameters to 9 and, if necessary, choose it to be an Exponential moving average.

What trading platform do you use? I may help you to find that indicator there.
